3.2  Liaison Committee

The Committee is composed of no more than fourteen elected members and no more than three co-opted member representing member NGOs and come from at least five provinces.

3.3  The Secretariat
The Secretariat is responsible for the implementation of the day-to-day activities of ZNAN and is answerable to the Liaison Committee.

3.4  The Technical Committee
The Technical Committee is an ad-hoc body whose main responsibility is to consider, evaluate and approve project proposals from member organizations. The membership of this Committee is comprised of people with different professional backgrounds with relevance to the nature of projects being considered.

3.5  ZNAN Provincial Committees
The Provincial Committees are the liaison points between the ZNAN secretariat and provincial based NGOs and CBOs and provide the basis for ZNAN’s representation in rural areas. These Committees also provide a mechanism for the decentralization of the secretariat’s activities. The composition of these Committees vary from province to province depending on the types of NGOs and CBOs that are actively involved in HIV/AIDS prevention care and support services in each given province.

3.6  Membership
Membership is open to any registered Non-Governmental Organisation involved in HIV/AIDS work in the country. In addition, community groups, government agencies, private companies, international organizations and other non-NGO interested organizations and individuals are offered Associate membership without voting rights.
