Invitation to a monthly review meeting
at Monze Catholic Archidiocese.
The participants of the Monze exchange
visit were invited to sit in during the monthly meeting
of the Peer Education Project held at the Monze catholic
Archdiocese. The aim of this particular visit was
for the participants to note any gaps when conducting
similar meetings and also to provide advice to Monze
PEP were necessary. The group saw how the meetings
are conducted and again the participants noted the
level of commitment.

On the last day of the exchange visit
at Monze College, each participant was asked to give
a presentation regarding peer education programme
within the organisation being representing.

- Activities carried out by the organisations
- Field experiences included the
obstacles in the day to day activities
- Success in the various organisations.
During this activity, solutions to
some of the problems encountered by the peer educators
in the field were given. Thereafter, the Peer education
concept was outlined.
During this activity, the concept
and importance of peer education was defined and outlined.
The definition of peer education was looked into and
defined as:
Peer Education is a concept that implies:-
- An approach
- Communication channel
- Methodology
- Strategy
Peer as being of equal standing with
another. One belonging to the same societal group
especially based on age, grade or status.
